Officers, Chairs & Members,
Well, we did it again! Another Spring Stampede successfully
completed. I want to THANK all of you, your families, friends
and kids. This event does not happen by magic. Dedication to
putting on the events, attention to detail, sometimes a bit of
diplomacy and negotiating to keep us on target. Everyone
puts in their time, effort and talents; for that Region 5 is to
very fortunate. Special thanks to my wife and your President
for the paperwork and follow-ups that get done ( Yes she
walks on water ).
There are always items, procedures and ideas that come out
of Stampede to improve the next one. Write them down, get
them to me. The Officers & Chairs will be reviewing everything
in the weeks to come. We would also like to try to have a
Thank You BBQ, especially for the Chairs and Volunteers;
please submit some ideas for locations. Our Region calendar
gets pretty packed so we should try to set a date soon.
A Special Get-Well to our Stock Chair, Lenny Nadeau; he was
injured while removing cattle collars Sunday afternoon; a
broken fore-arm. So maybe some of those that were thinking
about coming out to the Penning dates, would consider giving
an extra hand to help run it for his recuperation time. That
does not mean he won't be there, just short one wing.
Bring your horse, we can take turns helping out & riding.
The practice date for May 11th is cancelled (anticipated low
turn out for Mother's Day) but we are on for the 2nd date in
the Region 5 Buckle Series on May 25th.
Again...........THANK YOU to one and all. Please extend that to
all your help & volunteers also.
